Security during collection

Collected on site, under your supervision.

Your gold is sealed in a security envelope before your eyes. The envelope cannot be opened without leaving a permanent trace. The sealed envelope is carefully weighed on a scale in your presence and the weight is recorded on the receipt.

You receive a receipt for the gold you hand over, with a unique receipt number, date and the weight of your consignment as well as a description of the items. The receipt is your proof of what you have left with us.

The collection service has no value limit for your gold. The transport is insured until it arrives at the laboratory.

Security during postal delivery

An insured postal shipment is a safe way to send gold to our laboratory.

You seal the gold in a security envelope at your own pace. The envelope cannot be opened without leaving a permanent trace. When you drop off the consignment at a postal service point, it is transported under controlled conditions, separate from regular post together with other security shipments.

You receive a receipt for the insured security shipment, which serves as proof of the gold you have handed over. The security shipment is insured up to €5,000.

The movement of the security shipment can be tracked via the tracking system.

Laboratory security

Every step documented, every measurement recorded.

When the secure transport arrives at our laboratory, we check that the sealed security envelopes are intact. We weigh the consignments and verify that they match the recorded weight. You then receive a notification that your gold has been received at our laboratory.

The value of the gold items you have submitted is assessed individually using hallmark stamps, XRF X-ray analysis or acid analysis. The gold is carefully weighed on a scale. The entire process is documented and filmed — the recording is published for all to see, unless you have chosen for your gold to be assessed privately.

We have crowdsourced quality assurance. If a viewer notices an error in the assessment, we donate the gold in the item in question to the person who identified the error.

Payment security

Transparent offer and documented transaction.

Once the assessment is complete, you receive the final price offer via SMS and email. The offer includes the gold's price per gram, weight and purity as well as the exact amount we will pay you according to the price list. We transfer the money when you accept the offer — or once three days have elapsed.

After acceptance, the payment is sent as a SEPA transfer to your bank account. You receive a receipt with the gold's exact price per gram, weight and purity as well as the calculation — all figures openly verifiable.
